Making room for new growth
The first time I received energy healing, I had a hard time defining what had just happened to me. I felt really good, lighter somehow, as if a weight had been lifted. The effect was subtle and I had yet to experience the full impact of it. I decided to try more of the same and was catapulted into a process of intense transformation and growth. The journey led me to know my gifts and I finally saw where my path was.
The healer's role is often times to remove dense energy and lift the veil that covers a client's eyes. Determination and potent ideas may not be enough to take us into the summer of our destiny, especially if we carry around the heavy cloak of a fatigued spirit.
I studied the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition: a cross-cultural shamanic practice that aligns the traditional teachings of Peru and the wisdom of its heritage with the needs of our present day. My teacher taught me to view illness as a physical imbalance and she showed me how to work with two kinds of energy, Hucha and Sami, in order to restore the natural balance of a healthy person.
Hucha is dense energy that is man made. It is everywhere. We are all exposed to Hucha and this is fine as long as we carry it in smaller amounts. It will often block our path, however, if accumulated in large amounts. Hucha challenges and disempowers us and makes our path difficult because it is not compatible. We create Hucha with our words and thoughts, and with our emotional interactions. I would like to emphasize that Hucha is not labeled dark, bad, evil or negative. It is just heavy. We carry our ancestor's Hucha as well. All cleansing of Hucha is mediated through the navel region, the spiritual stomach.
Sami is the vibration of energy that is the most compatible with our own. It is our original vibrational state and it empowers us. This pure, light energy suffuses the natural world. Sami is the finest of energies and the finest light coming from Source. It is delivered through the heart and brow chakras. When you clear Hucha you automatically allow for Sami to infuse the spirit or aura.
In our Removing the Weeds session, I use time tested shamanic tools that help clear the old and outworn. These powerful tools will help make space for new growth to occur in your soulgarden. Shamanic healing is intuitive, creative, and always coming from Source. Your body is constantly trying to heal itself and Source is working to help facilitate that healing. I work intimately with my spirit allies to identify the right course of action for each unique client. The methods I use include energy-based forms of body work, light, sound, color, ceremony, crystals, flower essences, essential oils, prayer, and affirmations.
While most medical doctors go after physical symptoms, a healer will deal with all aspects of a person's energy. Going after only the symptoms will not prevent the imbalanced energies from finding new outlets. As a shamanic practitioner, I work to correct the physical symptoms and its underlying, metaphysical cause.
When an illness occurs it is often because we have held ourselves back from experiencing life and its changes. This creates stress which will internalize. The good news is, every disease has a positive aspect to it. If we listen, our bodies will tell us where we are out of balance, or where there is stress in our lives, where we are not in alignment with our truth. This is our diagnosis. Our prescription will be what our bodies need in order to heal and so we must ask, be willing to listen and courageously allow for change.
Having presented all four healing sessions on this blog, I look forward to seeing you in our Healing Lodge.
