RETREAT PROGRAM
(Subject to minor changes)
We have divided our daily activities into four different categories to be able to offer this tentative schedule. The categories are described in greater detail below.
SHAMANIC CEREMONY
Shamanism is the most ancient form of healing practiced by humans worldwide (40 000 years or more) and a way to connect with your deeper self through communion with nature and compassionate helping spirits.
Immerse yourself in the powerful wilderness of Zion and commune with ancestral and elemental forces to heal and learn more about your medicine and your unique place in the great web of life.
Engage in the ancient art and practice of shamanic journeying and commune with the helping spirits that have been uniquely assigned to assist you in fulfilling your soul mission and cultivating your personal strengths.
EMBODIED YOGA
Enjoy daily yogasana, the physical practice of yoga, designed to unwind the body and mind from the stressors of daily life.
Experience the profound benefits of pranayama, the art of breath control, to cleanse and energize your being.
Deepen your journey with guided meditation sessions that cultivate mental clarity, compassion, and greater self-awareness.
Each day we will imbibe different facets of this timeless practice to cultivate greater ease and lightness of being while our senses are nourished by Mama Nature.
SOUND HEALING
Discover Ayurveda where ancient wisdom seamlessly informs self-care practices (sadhana) for modern life.
Experience personalized Ayurvedic routines designed to balance your body's natural and unique constitution, enhance vitality, and promote holistic wellness.
Delight in delicious, nourishing meals and snacks prepared by our private local chef according to Ayurvedic principles, aimed at detoxifying and rejuvenating your body.
Engage in workshops that teach you the art of Ayurvedic self-care including oil massage, herbal treatments, and daily rituals. Embrace a journey of healing and harmony, cultivating inner balance and radiant health.
ALTARS & CRAFTS
Allow truth to be your guiding star and claim your full expression while working with the three female archetypes that best support your inner spirit woman; your dreamer, warrior, and healer.
Nature ceremonies and rituals exist at the heart of our human story. Our ancient ancestors gathered in caves and raised stone circles to access the wisdom born from earth and sky.
Enjoy creating and working with your own Spirit Woman portable altar directly on the land.
Unlock the magic of your wild instinctual self and enjoy greater creative flow, joy, and clarity in your life.
“The doors to the world of the wild Self are few but precious. If you have a deep scar, that is a door, if you have an old, old story, that is a door. If you love the sky and the water so much you almost cannot bear it, that is a door. If you yearn for a deeper life, a full life, a sane life, that is a door.”
OUR SHARED SPACE
We have leased a cozy cabin on a 57 acre lot with panoramic views of the incredible wilderness of Zion National Park. This location is one of the best! Our cabin is close to beautiful Kolob reservoir, some of our favorite scenic trails, and otherworldly red rock formations. It is the perfect place to commune with nature and enjoy time away from your daily routine.
MEET YOUR HOSTS

VICTORIA LAGERSTRÖM

Victoria is a shamanic healing practitioner with roots in Sweden and the US. After finding love overseas, Victoria relocated to the beautiful red rock desert of Zion National Park where she married American singer/songwriter Dave Tate.
It was on this new journey of self-discovery and transformation that she was introduced to shamanism and the healing effects of the natural environment.
Victoria graduated from the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition Apprenticeship Program – Peruvian Shamanic Arts For Personal And Planetary Renewal - in 2012. This in-depth two year cross-cultural program led by respected teachers Don Oscar Miro-Quesada and Bonnie Glass-Coffin, Ph.D. emphasizes personal healing as a necessary preparation for client work. More recent studies include “The Art And Practice of Shamanic Healing: A Three -Year Professional Training And Initiation” with renowned teacher Julie M. Kramer.
Mother of Eliot, active member of Central Coast holistic community, Victoria has a private healing practice in Los Osos, CA and teaches the ancient medicine ways of Peruvian and core shamanism through local healing circles and retreats.
“My connectedness to the earth’s healing wisdom and the divine feminine awakened me to my true path. I feel so grateful and excited whenever I have an opportunity to share these ancient medicine ways with others. The time is now to stand for love, hope, and positive change so that we may all experience greater harmony within and without.”

SIENNA JUNE
Sienna is a beautiful photographer and local to Zion. She identifies as an avid nature lover who spends most of her time learning the teachings of yoga and taking photos of people. We are so blessed to have her join us for the Spirit Woman Retreat.
“During my years of photography I have had the opportunity to capture so much love. I am ecstatic to be your photographer this fall and to have the opportunity to be a part of your journey and transformation. “
“Many, many women can feel something stirring within, and they sense something stirring without...A deep need to tell our stories and be heard. A longing to heal past hurts and move beyond them, into something big and bold and fresh and new.”
WHY MEDICINE WOMAN?
“Medicine Woman is she who has walked this world and healed for a hundred thousand years before the gleam of steel and the coming of the machines.
Medicine woman is the holder of the map to the mysterious road to healing. In one hand she holds the honey - the golden elixir of life, sweetness and healing to stomach and soul, balm to the aching body. In the other she holds a bone knife - to cut away the old, the dead, the decayed. She knows that healing needs both. She teaches impermanence, surrender, the beauty and potential of endless transformation. She swipes away the ego, the shell, the identity and asks you to see what lies beneath. And bebeath that too...
She in your bones. You are she.”
Spirit woman or wild woman is reemerging and rising again in every woman’s consciousness awake, alive, and on fire with passionate purpose. She is the embodiment of the divine feminine and the goddess, in full blossom, no longer restricted to living tight in the bud, enduring too small a life.
Spirit woman is a journey of self-discovery and remembrance. We are all dreamers, warriors, and healers. It was always our path to nurture these three phases of womanhood more commonly known as the maiden/mother/crone archetypal energies, and help them function as one ~ as SPIRIT WOMAN.
A wellspring of healing wisdom resides within each of us, as we all spring from the ancestral seeds of our grandmothers, born in this time to share the healing gifts unique to our blood and soul lineages.
The Spirit Woman Wilderness Retreat will allow you to reconnect with the timeless wisdom of being a woman, overcoming your perceived limitations, and awakening to the nurturing and unconditional love of Mother Earth.
~
